The EMPI HPMX series have separate idle and main circuits featuring changeable air and fuel jets. Intake air is metered by changeable venturies, and the accelerator pump is adjustable for maximum acceleration. Jets, gaskets and repair parts are readily available. *Test Run & Adjusted *40 HPMX come with .60 Idle Jets, .135 Main Jets, .160 Air Corrector Jets, .50 Accelerator Pump Jets, .350 Ex. Pump Jets, 28mm Venturis and F11 Emulsion Tubes.
*Test Run & Adjusted *44 HPMX come with .60 Idle Jets, .140 Main Jets, .160 Air Corrector Jets, .55 Accelerator Pump Jets, .350 Ex. Pump Jets, 30mm Venturis and F11 Emulsion Tubes.

For The Basic 1600-1800cc, The 40 HPMX Kit Is A Torquey Option. For All Out Performance, The Way To Go Is The 44 HPMX. The 44 HPMX Carbs In These Kits Have 30mm Venturis And .55 Accelerator Pump Jets Installed. EMPI Also Has Available A Selection Of Jets If Your Application Requires Further “Dialing In” (See Pages 109-111). Both 40 HPMX And 44 HPMX Carbs Have Butterflies Drilled For Smooth Idling. Complete Kits Feature Aluminum Center-Section Manifold, Aircraft Style Heim Joint Linkage, Chrome Air Cleaner With Gauze Element, Gaskets And Hardware.
